Attractive, freckled brunette best known as the nice but sometimes naughty girl-next-door Donna Hayward in David Lynch's surreal cult soap opera, "Twin Peaks" (1990-91). Boyle was cast in the TV miniseries AMERIKA (1987) while a sophomore at the Chicago Academy for the Arts, and made her film debut in POLTERGEIST III (1988) before appearing in the TV movie THE PREPPIE MURDER (1989) as date murder victim Jennifer Levin. Since her appearance in "Peaks" Boyle has worked regularly in features—usually as the girlfriend—with such notables as Clint Eastwood and Mike Myers. Boyle played her first lead as the lithe femme fatale who menaces a business office in THE TEMP (1993).
