Conan O'Brien repeat
Did you miss Lara's whacky interview on Late Night with Conan O'Brien back
in September? It will air again this Monday, December 12.
While I'm on the subject, there's a clip of the interview
here:

LFB on the Insider
Did you miss LFB on the Insider on Monday? The show has some video
clips from the interview on it's website (although I don't know how long they will be up).
Here's the URL:

Magazine update
I got mixed up on the magazine article I mentioned in the last update. The article
"24 Hours with Lara Flynn Boyle" actually appeared in the October 10 issue of Celebrity
Living magazine. However, this week's In Touch does have a couple items
about LFB. She is number 4 on the list of the "10 most improved bodies", and there's
also a blurb about her and her dog.

LFB on the Insider
I was watching the Insider this weekend, and they
said they would have an interview with Lara Flynn Boyle on Monday's show (October 10).
The promised topics of discussion include Lara's weight (sigh...), but I suspect they'll
concentrate more on her new role on Las Vegas. Of course, due to
Paris Hilton's love life breaking news, segments like this are always
subject to being rescheduled, or dropped altogether. You might want to check out
the show's website for the latest schedule and
air times.
LFB cast in CTV movie
Lara Flynn Boyle has landed one of the lead roles in the new TV movie Shades of
Black. The film chronicles the rise and fall of Canadian media mogul
Conrad Black, played by Albert Shultz.
Lara will play his beautiful and brilliant wife, Barbara Amiel Black. The
film is being produced by and for the Canadian CTV channel. I don't know when or
if it will air in the states. You can read the whole press release here:

Talk, Talk, Talk...
Lara made the rounds of the talk show circuit a few weeks back. As I previously
reported, she was on Regis and Kelly on Friday, September 16. That
night, she had a really wild interview on Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
She also appeared on The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch (on CNBC) on September
20 and The Tony Danza Show on September 21. Unfortunately, I didn't
find out about most of these until the last minute, so I wasn't able to post anything.
(I missed The Big Idea show myself). However, you can read about some
of the highlights in the current issue of In Touch magazine (in the article
"24 Hours with Lara Flynn Boyle").

Lara goes Live
This Friday, September 16, Lara will be a guest on Live with Regis and Kelly.
Las Vegas premieres Sept. 19
The third season of Las Vegas premieres Monday, September 19 at 9:00 PM
Eastern and Pacific. Lara joins the cast as the new casino owner, Monica Mancuso.
If Monday nights aren't good for you, I have good news.
If my TV Guide is right (it's not what it used to be), then TNT will be showing new
episodes of Las Vegas 8 days after they air on NBC.

I'm back!
As some of you have noticed, I haven't updated the site in a while. There are a
couple reasons for this. First of all, I started a new job (at the
Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics -
say that 3 times fast). While the job is exciting, it regularly involves night
shifts, long hours, and extended travel, so it's not always easy to find time to update
the site. Another problem was that my apartment was flooded by overflowing toilet
in the apartment upstairs. Many of my belongings were destroyed and/or covered
with crap (literally). I was able to salvage my computers, but not the monitors.
I've been waiting to get a settlement from my upstairs neighbor or his insurance
before getting a new monitor, but after nearly 5 months, it doesn't look like that's
going to happen. So I'm putting my computers back together, replacing what was
lost, and looking for a good lawyer.
LFB moves to Las Vegas
Lara has joined the cast of NBC's
Las Vegas. She will play
the flamboyant new owner of the Montecito Casino. Gary Scott Thompson, the series'
creator and executive producer, sounded practically giddy about Lara's addition to the
cast:
Obviously, we're excited to have someone with the style and panache of
Lara Flynn Boyle as we head into a season of transition for Las Vegas.
She will add even more story potential and star power to what is already a
supercharged cast playing against the backdrop of a dynamic city.
I'm sure Lara was happy about it too, as it was just a few weeks earlier that UPN
decided not to pick up her pilot, Crazy.
Lara was recently interviewed by Entertainment Tonight
about her new role. Excerpts from the interview can be found on ET's web site:
http://et.tv.yahoo.com/tv/etsid368190011964/
ET originally had some video clips too, but they aren't
there anymore.
How many inches do you have?
4 Inches, the new photo book featuring celebrities posing in nothing but Jimmy
Choo shoes and Cartier jewelry, is out. Lara is one of those appearing in the
book. (Note that Lara's photo - in which she appears naked and tied to a tree -
doesn't reveal everything.) Look for the book at Borders, Barnes and Noble, or
your local book store. 10% of the proceeds from the book will go to the Elton
John AIDS Foundation.

Crazy
Lara Flynn Boyle has landed the lead role in the UPN pilot Crazy.
The drama is about a psychiatrist who sees her own life reflected in the problems of
her patients. The show will also star Kristin Bauer, David Julian Hirsh, and
Lindsay Sloane, and will be produced by Aaron Spelling and E. Duke Vincent (among
others). This is a real role reversal for Ms. Boyle, as she last appeared on
the other side of the couch in Showtime's !Huff.
Chain of Fools
Would you see a movie starring Salma Hayek, Jeff Goldblum, Elijah Eood, and Lara
Flynn Boyle? Well, apparently the studios thought no one would.
Chain of Fools, which was made over 5 years ago, never made it into
theaters. However, it was finally released on DVD in the U.S. on February 15.
Updated Links
I have revised and updated the links section, adding new
links and removing broken and outdated ones.

Makeovers and Makeunders
In the next couple days, you can see Lara at her best, and worst. First, tonight
(Feb 24) Fox will air its special Stars Without Makeup, which will
reportedly showcase unflattering photos of celebrities, including LFB. Then on
Friday (Feb. 25), LFB will appear on a special episode of Oprah, titled
Red Carpet Makeovers with Jessica Simpson.
Land of the Blind
Lara has reportedly begun filming
Land of the Blind,
a drama due out next year.
