Breaking News: LFB gets married!
According to numerous reports (including
this one from E!),
Lara Flynn Boyle married her boyfriend of six months, Donald Ray Thomas, at his home in
San Antonio on Monday. Boyle's rep, Karynne Tencer, confirmed the marriage to
People magazine, adding, "She's ecstatic. She's very, very happy."
The two are reportedly honeymooning at a nearby hotel.
Congratulations to the lucky couple!

Shades of Black
Attention Canadian LFB fans: Shades of Black: The Conrad Black Story will
air Monday, December 4 at 8 p.m. EST on CTV. The movie chronicles the rise and
fall of media mogul Conrad Black. Lara Flynn Boyle plays Black's glamorous second
wife, Barbara Amiel. There's more info about the movie, including the trailer,
here. However, you can only view the trailer if you're in Canada.
Unfortunately, I see no indication that this movie will
air on U.S. television. That's disappointing, and a little surprising considering
how other corporate scandals have been big news. Also, I would've thought that
there would be more interest because Black will stand trial in the U.S. in March on
charges of fraud and racketeering; he is accused plundering millions of dollars from the
company he controlled, Hollinger International. I suppose the fact that the movie
contains fictional elements could be off-putting. (Path to 9/11 anyone?)
Insatiable
LFB has joined the Showtime pilot Insatiable. The show is a comedy
about small town where everyone has some sort of addiction. According to the
Hollywood Reporter, she will play "a local news personality married to a
doctor who gets a sexual rush from stealing things." (So, does that mean LFB's
character is a kleptomaniac, or is it her husband? Gee, you think they would've
phrased that better.) Other cast members include Peter Facinelli, Andie
MacDowell, and Andrea Martin.
LFB reunites with Practice co-star.
Heather Graham and Practice star Dylan McDermott have filmed roles for
A West Texas Children's Story. The film wrapped production in New
Mexico on November 5, or so I've heard.

House debuts Oct. 30
Just in time for Halloween, the Lifetime movie The House Next Door
will debut October 30. The movie stars Lara Flynn Boyle as a woman who discovers
that the house next door is...well...evil!
LFB heads to Texas New Mexico
LFB's next movie, A West Texas Children's Story, is currently filming
somewhere in Valencia county, New Mexico. Filming began in early October, and was
initially expected to wrap up by November 1.  In related news,
Val Kilmer has joined the cast.  (I
wonder if this will prolong the shoot.)
Land sighted
LFB's last theatrical movie, Land of the Blind, has been released on DVD.

Wow, it's been a long time since my last update, hasn't it?!
Boyle moves into The House Next Door
The Lifetime network has signed Lara Flynn Boyle to star in their original movie
The House Next Door. Based on the novel by Anne Rivers Siddons,
the movie centers on a successful young woman (Boyle) who is drawn to the mysterious
new house next door. The house destroys those who enter it by preying on their
weaknesses. (Gee, sounds kind of like Hollywood, doesn't it?) The movie
will premiere in November.

Huff snuffed
Sadly, Showtime has canceled their original series
Huff. As you may
recall, LFB played the unstable Melody Coatar in the show's first season. She
was not available during the second season, due to her being on
Las Vegas. However, Paget Brewster said in an
interview
with TV Guide that they really wanted to have her back, so there was at
least the possibility of her appearing in the third season. Well, so much for
that.
Can't see Blind
Apparently, one of LFB's latest films,
Land of the Blind,
opened in New York city last month. As far as I can tell, that's the only place
it ever played. Hopefully, there will be a DVD release in the not too distant
future.
